Holiday season is almost upon us. Many are on a budget, trying to buy gifts and also thinking about giving to more than just family and friends. Americans are extremely philanthropic. We rally when there are those in need. Just look at some of the disasters that have happened (Katrina, Thailand, Haiti etc) and how much Americans have helped. I know many people who would love to do more but feel frustrated they cannot as their own cash flow has been diminished. This is expecially evident here in California as many deserving chairities have had their funding cut dramatically and are working hard to keep their doors open.

Many of you who shop here know that I donate (with the consignors permission) any unsold items to Single Mothers Outreach of Santa Clarita and the Domestic Violence Center of Santa Clarita. Both of these wonderful organizations have experienced dramatic cutbacks in funding. As part of my community outreach, Just Between Us Boutique will be selling items on behalf of both these organizations, with a percentage of the proceeds going directly to benefit their operations.

This is how it works. SMO and DVC will be displaying items in an area in my shop. Any item purchased off their racks will generate a check to their organizations. So if you see a handbag with a specialty tag and purchase it, 70% of the sales price will directly benefit the nonprofit. Just think, you can get say, a Coach bag, at 50-70% off retail, for yourself or a gift, AND 70% of its sales price goes to the charity!

Lets feel good about shopping again AND give more than just gifts to family and friends. Lets give the gift of keeping the great work both Single Mothers Outreach of Santa Clarita and the Domestic Violence Center of Santa Clarita offer women in need!
